牙買加藍山的幽香清甜調，口感有如葡萄酒般香醇，向來是日本咖啡愛好行家的最愛。其產量稀少為精品咖非的代表，也是世界最貴的咖啡之一。但並非牙買加所產的咖啡皆可冠上藍山標誌，

1953年牙買加政府為了促進牙買加咖啡品質的提升，成立了咖啡管理局(CIB)，牙買加是最早把咖啡生產地域註冊為商標的國家，從牙買加輸出必須經過咖啡管理局(CIB)認證，

產自藍山特定的行政區與一定的海拔才可獲得藍山認證。自1790年起，克里福頓莊園(Clifton Mount Estate)就開始栽種藍山咖啡，全都是Typica(鐵皮卡)品種。

是整個藍山地區海拔最高、最古老的咖啡莊園，也是當地唯一一個單一莊園的藍山咖啡以及有獲得雨林聯盟的認證。
